How To Make An Herb Drying Rack and Harvest Herbs

It’s Herb harvesting time in my house today. Nothing like walking into a kitchen that smells full of fragrant herbs, who needs candles! I was looking out at my garden today and realized that my herbs needed to be cut back because they were taking

One of my favorite things to do is surprise my husband with breakfast in the summer. This morning I woke up at 5am, i have no idea why, but I had an idea for breakfast that I knew Brandon would love. I got up and watered my garden, weeded and searched for any ripe veggies and then I started breakfast. Yesterday I got Ham from Applegate meats while I was at Trader Joe’s and I couldn’t wait for vacation to try it. My Grandfather used to make Continue reading Ham and Egg Burrito

Lovely Lemony Meal

Today I came home and had this fabulous recipe in my head. When I came into the house and looked in the freezer, I was out of Chicken. I went into the garage freezer and found some Pheasant from Brandon’s winter hunt. I was excited but knew that I would have to make a marinade and let it soak a bit longer. Pheasant is a bit tougher than chicken and it takes longer to soak in the flavors but if you do it correctly, it tastes like moist chicken. Fortunately I had time because Brandon was finishing his swim at the gym and he still had to heat up the grill. I got to use Fresh Rosemary from my garden so I spent a little bit of time weeding  while the pheasant marinated and I even experimented with a lemon bread.
