What’s more fun than a snow day? Being snowed in with my hubby and son and baking treats as a family!
\nWe created a venison steak sandwich and made Against All Grains<\/a> delicious sugar cookies. Since Jackson is only 6 months old, I had to modify a few things for him so that he could enjoy the treats with us. I made the sugar cookies following the recipe but I made my own icing.
\nIf you don’t follow Against All Grain on Facebook, go do that now! They posted their sugar cookie recipe <\/a>for Valentines day.
\nMy icing for our cookies was a strawberry cookie frosting.<\/p>\n

Strawberry Cookie Frosting:
\n6 whole Strawberries
\n1 Cup Full Fat Coconut Cream (put a can of coconut milk in the fridge over night and use the think cream on the top.)
\n1\/4 Cup Almond flour
\n1\/4 Cup Coconut Flour
\n1tsp. Vanilla Extract
\n1\/2 Cup Maple Syrup
\n1tsp. Dark chocolate cocoa Powder<\/p>\n

Blend well and place in fridge until you are ready to use. Make sure cookies cool completely before decorating. I used a pipe bag so that Jackson didn’t get covered and become a sticky mess- it worked for the most part but this rookie momma should have known better- kids always find a way to get messy!! It was a snow day adventure.
